more...For the first time, I think, EVER- there is going to be a “green” wedding bridal show in Boston. The Elegantly Green Wedding Showcase is Sunday, February 14th, 2010 (yes, Valentine’s Day!) at the Hyatt in Boston. From what I can tell, it’s gonna be chalk full of Boston’s most fabulous eco conscious wedding vendors. There will be sustainable floral, wedding dress and jewelry companies, cleaning companies, venues with a green conscious, videographers and photographers who offer green services and products (FYI: SWEET TOOTH offers green photo prints and albums too!)
There’s no reason why boudoir bridal photography can’t be green. I outline my practices in the “go green” section of the website, but I’ll lay it all out for you here.
Sweet Tooth Boudoir recycles obsolete cameras and gear and uses rechargeable batteries. We no longer shoot in film, reducing the use of harsh chemicals greatly. Instead of printed proofs, we share your proofs with you online. This saves paper, ink and the packaging it takes to mail proofs to you.
We offer our prints on paper that contains at least 30% PCW (Post Consumer Waste) and session books that are 100% PCW and 100% Wind-power manufactured.
And don’t even get me started on the ADORABLE eco lingerie companies out there. Eco-Boudoir creates eco-friendly and organic lingerie and nightwear. g=9.8 is a company that strives to make eco-friendly and responsibility rhyme with sensuality!
One more thing to tell you- go to the website elegantlygreenweddingshowcase.com and get a ticket to the show. They’re having a special buy one get one ticket free and if you use the promo code EGWSVENDOR, you can get an additional $3 off, for a grand total of $12 for 2 entrance tickets.
Sweet Tooth will have a special deal going, so look out for the green printed postcards:
